Recall ("the Extension") is a browser extension that captures the pages you visit and lets you search across them locally. This policy explains what data the Extension collects, how it is stored, and what it is never used for.
When you visit a web page, the Extension captures and stores the following information locally on your device:
All captured data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). It never leaves your device. There is no server, no cloud, and no database outside of your own machine.
chrome://, file://, or extension pagesThe Extension does not share, sell, transmit, or disclose your data to any third party — ever. No analytics. No crash reporting. No telemetry of any kind.
You are in full control of your data. You can delete individual entries, wipe all data, or uninstall the Extension at any time. Uninstalling the Extension permanently removes all stored data from your browser.
The Extension requests the following browser permissions:
None of these permissions are used to transmit data outside your device.
This Extension is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
